Why it is important for Learners in School and every Youth to join PLACY CLUB

ProInSafe Leadership And Community Leaders Youths (PLACY) Club is created to equip Nigerians with essential resources needed to be productive hence facilitate community development and national growth.

The PLACY Club propel learner  to create opportunities for themselves and their community; to make them become self reliant, self-employed and self-actualized. Every learner has potential to be an expert at a particular field. Everyone has a purpose to fulfill and fulfilling this purpose is the gateway to our success and happiness.

To fulfil our purpose requires JUST A THING, this thing is a form of life long exercise which is SELF DISCOVERY.

Self Discovery is the ability to understand one’s weaknesses, strengths, potentials and talents, it is the awareness of our thoughts, feelings and actions that make us who we are. Discovering who we are help us to strengthen our weaknesses, exploit our strengths positively, develop our potentials and talents in order to serve and uplift the humanity. We get to identify our uniqueness and difference and this helps us to stand out in an amazing way.

Human beings co-exist and this social aspect of us can be used to transform  our country, Nigeria to move from being a developing country to be a developed country. Other countries are developed out of the endless efforts of the people of such countries to discover themselves which always create passions for solving certain problems of their countries. Solving this problem along the line earn them millions and billions of naira for example, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Ben Carson, Steve Jobs, Denzel Washington etc.

It is essential for every youth to discover themselves and in the process unlearn unhelpful behavioral patterns as this helps them to easily adopt values and attitudes necessary to become great leaders. A good leader must uphold integrity and be concerned about the welfare of the people around him/her. Doing this will continue to uplift the leader and the affiliated society.

To be a great leader, one must possess right and constructive knowledge and skills. In a bid to make youths great leaders, PLACY club came into existence.  This program exists mainly to mentor and guide youths to drive positive social change in their communities. This is through acquiring and sharing knowledge, skills and experiences and receiving full supports relevant to achieving these SDGs:

1: No Poverty

2: Zero Hunger

3: Good Health and Well-being

4: Quality Education

5: Gender Equality

6: Clean Water and Sanitation

7: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

8: Reduced Inequality

9: Sustainable Cities and Communities

10: Peace and Justice Strong Institutions

11: Partnerships to achieve the Goal

Nigeria will rapidly develop only through sustainable innovations, productive actions and effective leadership. PLACY club is all about empowering/inspiring youths to innovate, act and lead in such a way that facilitates community development and national growth.

Many parents, guardians, and students themselves do not understand the importance of extracurricular activities. Teachers in many schools have had to convince some parents and guardians to permit their children to participate in extracurricular activities. This is because the parents feel that those afterschool activities distract them from their studies, or caused them to get home late. Some students also feel that they do not need the activities, all they need is to concentrate on their books.

This notion couldn’t be any more untrue. Co-curricular activities are just as important as academics. They both complement each other to develop a well-rounded student with more social skills than one who only concentrates on their books. Education should go beyond the four classroom walls; it should be more than just books.

Our motto, “Passion ‘n’ Action” guides our  to help youths discover and fuel their passions which will energize them to take actions; solve specific problems in their neighboring environments for the benefits of all. PLACY brings about opportunities for every youth to thrive because it  values and helps the youths value their potentials and make the most of it! PLACY Club can equip you with the skills you need to succeed after school, such as leadership skills, the ability to work in a team, prioritizing tasks, and managing your time.

To CREATE OPPORTUNITIES simply means to be a PROBLEM SOLVER or a COMMUNITY DEVELOPER. Most times, this earn you a huge sum of money, income and all, sometimes it doesn’t. But surely it gives you FULFILMENT and that’s SUCCESS in its true definition and entire essence.

PLACY Club benefits to Learner in School

  1. Training in professional skills.

These activities can work to build professional skills that a classroom alone cannot always foster. A leadership-oriented club, for example, will help students to learn essential skills in management and delegation, while a debate or speech club will provide additional public speaking practice for students. Sports most often have the effect of fostering strong team-building skills and training students in holding long-term goals.

  1. Better time management Skills.

Learner has to learn how to balance their academic life with their hobbies. They need to know how to incorporate their club activities into their school life and allocate enough time for each. They learn how to plan out their day to include study time and co-curricular activities time, and will know how to make use of any free time they may have. Such a learner is less likely to procrastinate.

  1. Exploration of interests.

PLACY Club  allow Learner to pursue interests outside of a standardized academic context. A student with a flair for mathematics, for example, might become a member of the school’s math honor society program. This decision could help them decide if math will be something to pursue in higher education. Students can also use these activities to explore interests they’ve never encountered, exposing students to a more diverse range of interests .Discover interests and passions, Getting involved helps you realize your interests and passions.

  1. Improved Academic Performance.

Learner who participate in PLACY Club activities have a marked improvement in the grades. This can be attributed to skills they learn such as better time management to accommodate their hobbies and class activities, better organizational skills and a boost in their self-esteem. Skills learnt in clubs such as debate can be applied in the classroom too, as the students learn how to express themselves better.

  1. Learn New and Useful Skills.

Learner  learn new skills that are useful in their school life and day-to-day activities. Students learn skills such as teamwork, better social skills, and critical thinking. According to studies, learner who participate in co-curricular activities were found to have better leadership skills and learnt how to relate better with their peers than those who didn’t.

  1. Sense of Commitment.

Learner who participate in PLACY Club  activities have a sense of commitment to whatever they are involved in. This is because as they take part in whatever club activity they are a member of, they have to commit to it and give their all, and this commitment extends to all other areas of their lives.

  1. Sense of Responsibility.

A learner  who is given a task such as leading PLACY Community Youth Club, or PLACY  ICT Club, will with time be very efficient in that task. This will foster a sense of accountability and responsibility .

  1. New Friends.

Learner  should be encouraged to pursue PLACY Club  activities as they meet and spend time with new people, hence forming new friendships. This is important as they interact with those of different or similar interests, and learn a thing or two from them. They also get a different point of view on things as the new friends they make may see life in general from a different point of view.

  1. Discover more about yourself.

Joining PLACY club  presents many opportunities to learn more about yourself, your goals, and your strengths. You can learn from how other students handle certain situations and test your current knowledge. You can also find out what you’re good at, whether that’s multitasking, staying organized, generating ideas, or serving others. This self-awareness will be beneficial in your future career.

  1. Soft Skills Development .

Soft skills are essentially “people skills” they are the skills that allow learner to effectively interact with others, like communication, attitude, and work ethic. Participating in PEP Club activity not only teaches you these skills, but also helps you broaden and improve those you already have. You’ll learn the best way to communicate with both individuals and large groups, and you’ll gain emotional intelligence as you develop new relationships.

  1. Build team work relation.

Knowing how to work well with a team is an essential skill for any career. Being and PLACY Club teaches you how to do this by putting you in situations where you are required to take advice from others, as well as give your own.

  1. Networking Opportunities.

Another great benefit of Learner to join PLACY Club is that you get the opportunity to network. Meeting new students, making connections, and building relationships will all help down the line . Because you know the people you are meeting have at least a few of the same interests as you, so their connections will be valuable.

  1. Gain Leadership Skills.

Becoming a leader or an officer in one of the PEP Club will help you develop leadership skills that will be invaluable in all areas of life. You’ll be presented with opportunities to improve in public speaking, and gain confidence in yourself as an individual.

  1. Able to give back to the community.

Many student organizations provide opportunities to give back to the community, whether through acts of service, sponsoring events, or hosting charity drives. Not only is this good for society, but it will teach you how a future business can give back, too.

  1. Have Fun.

Another simple reason to join PLACY Club is to have fun. Meeting new people, making new friends, and participating in activities will help you make the most of your school experience.

PLACY Club…Passion n Action.

10 Ways to Scale a Business from Startup to a Huge Company, According to These Titans

10 Ways to Scale a Business from Startup to a Huge Company, According to These Titans

Growth tips from people who’ve done it successfully themselves.

A mastermind group for top entrepreneurs

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.

It’s one thing to start a business and another to scale it. Here are ten tips for massively growing your company from leading entrepreneurs and Advisors in The Oracles who have done just that.

1. Create a sense of urgency.

Grant Cardone

You need three things to scale a business. First, hire well so you can delegate. You’ll never scale if you have to handle everything yourself. Second, pick your battles. Don’t spend days deciding on things like the perfect logo color — your brand will evolve anyway. Focus on acquiring more and bigger customers. You want volume and margin; so start hunting for big game, not mosquitos.

Third, create urgency. Set specific timelines for action and achievements. One of the biggest mistakes businesses make is not operating with enough urgency. You’re in a marathon, but it includes many sprints. Start winning the little races and you’ll create momentum! Grant Cardone, sales expert, who has built a $750 million real estate empire, and NYT bestselling author

Melanie Perkins

Providing real value to your customers is powerful. Its importance cannot be overstated. Offering a solution to a real problem that people care about will make it much easier to run a business.

Canva is proof of this. Within the first month of launching in 2013, we had more than 50,000 people sign up to use the platform. Six years later, we’ve grown to over 15 million active monthly users across 190 countries who have created over 1 billion designs. —Melanie Perkins, co-founder and CEO of Canva, which is valued at over a billion dollars

3. Become a master at selling to your avatar.

Patch Baker

Many people will tell you to hyper-focus on a niche market, like health care or real estate. I disagree. Focus on the process, not the industry. For example, we identified processes for products at different price points, and for one-time services versus monthly services. Figure out a system and a checklist that works. Once you have a process for one industry, you can apply it to others. Then you can scale because your team is doing the same thing repeatedly, so they become experts.

Similarly, learn to sell multiple things to the same person. Get really good at selling to a specific client “avatar”; then you can sell other relevant services to them. Patch Baker, founder and CEO of Mobius Media Solutions; former U.S. Marine, with a mission to help people leave the military today and not feel abandoned tomorrow

4. Focus on operations, belief, and leadership.

Brandon Dawson

First, become clear on the best way to pursue the opportunity. Then, perfect your operations with measurable, systematic processes you can replicate consistently. Understand what contributes most to your impact at a granular and macro level and maximize that in everything you do. This also requires a best-in-class team and concept or product.

Pushing yourself and others to new levels requires challenging your beliefs about how big and impactful you can be. Belief energizes you and your team to work harder and smarter. It is the catalyst to thinking, doing, and being more. Belief leads to action, which leads to results; so the higher you believe, the higher you achieve.

The “secret sauce” that allows you to grow may be difficult to transfer to others; so ensure your people are aligned and committed. Your culture must embrace personal growth and transparency. Align individual team members’ successes with your objectives. Teach them to break through their limiting beliefs so you can conquer your shared mission together. Brandon Dawson (www.bdawson.com), serial entrepreneur and co-founder and CEO of Cardone Ventures; founder and CEO of Audigy ; host of “The B Dawson Show” podcast.

5. Surround yourself with others who have done it.

Josh Steinberger

Technology replaces roles we once needed to hire for and speeds up the growth process in many ways. But scaling your business in 2019 is no different fundamentally than it was 50 years ago.

My best advice is to surround yourself with others who have done it. They have already been there, made mistakes, and paid the price. At first, you will need to pay to get in the room with them. But the life-long friendships and partnerships are worth every penny. —Josh Steinberger, founder and CEO of NextGen Restoration (www.nextgenrestoration.net); principal in Driven Acquisitions, a holding company that owns and operates apartment buildings in Ohio.

6. Create an irresistible company culture.

Peter Hernandez

An amazing culture creates huge growth. Magic happens when everyone is empowered to “own” their domain. Give your team permission to experiment intentionally and celebrate innovation and collaboration. When leadership asks for coaching from the team, this 360-degree accountability builds respect and camaraderie.

Success requires physical and mental stamina, emotional intelligence, and powerful habits that are reinforced daily across the organization. Clarify why you exist as an organization, then define measurable goals to achieve that purpose. That’s how you become fiercely focused. To truly realize the power of a unified vision, translate it into a shared vocabulary like a mantra, phrase, cheer, or rallying cry. Peter Hernandez, president of the Western Region at Douglas Elliman; founder and president of Teles Properties.

7. Master traffic and sales.

Rudy Mawer

After scaling two businesses past seven figures and helping dozens of clients scale up to nine figures, I believe it comes down to your sales pipeline and traffic. If you can create an unlimited number of potential customers and convert them with a sales funnel, you can 10x your business quickly.

Focus on your team, core product, customer experience, customer service, and internal systems. Once you have those fundamentals dialed in, level up to the more advanced tasks that add up, like reducing expenses, improving the average order value and customer lifetime value, and streamlining automation. Expand horizontally with more offers and vertically by selling more of the 80/20. Rudy Mawer, founder and CEO of ROI Machines and RudyMawer.com; Facebook marketing and ad expert, who built a multimillion-dollar business by age 26.

8. Identify your focus, cadence of accountability, and process.

Sharran Srivatsaa

I grew my real estate business, Teles Properties, 10x in five years before selling it to Douglas Elliman. When I reflected afterward, I identified 37 lessons I learned, including three core pillars: singularity of focus, cadence of accountability, and good process drives good results. This is now part of the foundational formula for scaling that I teach the CEOs I mentor.

Having a singular focus is transformational because it rallies you and your team around a big aspirational goal. Ruthlessly filter everything you do with that goal in mind. Cadence of accountability is about reducing that big goal into monthly, weekly, and daily activities, then tracking your progress to drive momentum. The hustle and grind will only leave you tired and resentful. Systems drive scale, which is why a good process will always drive good results. Sharran Srivatsaa, CEO of Kingston Lane and mentor to top entrepreneurs; grew Teles Properties 10x to $3.4 billion in five years; follow Sharran on Instagram

9. Find a way for everyone to win.

Craig Handley

Our call center business was competing with another company for the same customers. Instead of looking at them as a competitor, we saw them as a partner. Our platform lacked their tools for tracking and measuring results, but our sales performance was better. So we offered to use and pay for their platform if they helped us grow our business. Together we focused on putting the client first.

By doing what was best for the client, we performed better and gave our clients better reporting tools. As a result, both companies generated more revenue than we could have separately. We grew 6,994% and went from 100 to 1,000 agents, making number 27 on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies. Going from $3 million to almost $15 million was great for us and our new partner, but we also helped our clients see unparalleled success in the U.S. Hispanic market in the process. — Craig Handley, co-founder of ListenTrust and author of “Hired to Quit, Inspired to Stay”; read more about Handley:Why These Founders Train Their Employees to Quit

10. Think big.

Keri Shull

Have a vision so big that it becomes magnetic and excites your team to help you accomplish your desired results. Then continue to evolve and think even bigger. Culture is key. Create a workplace where people have fun together, support each other, and grow together, and no one will want to leave.

Hire and fire for your vision. In the beginning, I was hiring for survival. Since then, I’ve learned that if you hire ahead of your needs, you can outpace all of the competition. This was difficult for me to learn: you must also make hard decisions along the way. Some team members who are valuable at one point in your business won’t grow enough to stay valuable as you evolve. Don’t wait to let them go. —Keri Shull, founder of the Keri Shull Team, which has sold over $2 billion in properties; co-founder of real estate coaching business HyperFast Agent; named one of America’s Best Real Estate Agents by REAL Trends; connect with Keri on Facebook

Title: Standard Road to Success

A business woman was at her store and she looked all depressed. One of her distributors went to get more goods.

The distributor: Good day ma.

Business Woman: Welcome, how are you doing?

The distributor: (Looks excited) I am very fine, and you?

Business woman: (sighs) I am alive o.

The distributor: Madam, what is wrong with you?  You don’t look okay.

Business woman: I cannot be okay when I am barely making sales. Everything is dry. It amazes me that you come here so often to get goods. In fact, you are the only distributor who’s been patronizing me lately which explains that only you have been making a great deal of sales. (She moves closer to him and whispers)Tell me, what is the secret? What are you doing differently that some of us are not doing?

The distributor: (Smiles) It’s very simple ma. Didn’t you register your business at all?

Business woman: (Gave disappointment gestures) Mmm. I did, but obviously there is nothing to show for it. It was just normal required registration, I guess.

The distributor: You have not heard about ProInSafe?

Business woman: Pro…ProInSafe? Not really.

The distributor: (laughs)  Actually, I have been making abundant sales ever since I registered with ProInSafe. I must tell you that I am even here for more goods. ProInSafe has been so helpful in increasing my patronage because I engage in digital marketing, therefore, with ProInSafe it has been very easy to convince online consumers of my credibility. (Phone rings) Hello Iya konko, ohhhkay, I will be back in a jiffy. Please attend to all my customers, I must not lose any of them. I am at madam’s shop to get more stock.

Business Woman: (Adjusts her sitting posture and pays keen attention to him) Please tell me more. What is this ProInSafe all about?

The distributor: (smiles) ProInSafe is fully known as Promoting Internet Safety. That is basically what the organization is all about. ProInSafe exists to promote cyber security, provide job opportunities, promote credible businesses and empower the youths. ProInSafe is indeed tested and trusted! Go to www.proinsafe.com to register your business in order to boost your sales and also to support their vision to promote cyber security and foster socio-economic development of the country.

Business Woman: Ahh. This sounds so interesting but I am very broke at the moment. I don’t think I can afford this now. (she looks gloomy)

The distributor: You are telling me you cannot spare less than 4000 naira to grow your business?

Business woman: (Apparently shocked) Are you serious? I thought you would mention an amount that is between 20-50k or more.

The distributor: Not at all. In fact ProInSafe has made me realize that so many people actually require our products, but our low patronage is usually as a result of less advertisement and lack of trusts by consumers. ProInSafe has come to resolve such entrepreneurial issues by helping all entrepreneurs with online presence to make higher sales and maximize their profits. ProInSafe is virtually an an online business regulatory organization. They are here to encourage entrepreneurship and accelerate socio-economic development of the country. They also render affordable advertisement, business consultancy and other relevant cyber security services.

The business woman was indeed amazed by this great innovative opportunity. She asked for the organization’s contact details. The distributor gave it to her and she immediately took an excuse to contact ProInSafe Organization.

The next scene showed two friends, one of the friends who was a PLACY club member was on his way back from a sport competition. He met his friend who asked where he was coming from.

Bayo and Agboola at PLACY Club Play

Bayo: Hey friend! How are you?

Agboola: I am good. What’s up? Where are you coming from with all these sport kits?

Bayo: I am just returning from a sport competition organized by PLACY club program.

Agoola: What is that? Could you please give more details?

Bayo: PLACY Club is fully known as ProInSafe Leadership And Community Youth Club. It is one of the projects of ProInSafe Empowerment Projects  created for secondary schools, the club is dedicated to discovering and developing youths’ potentials and exploiting the potentials to encourage innovations, create great leader and facilitate community development. We engage in various training sessions, programs and community development services to achieve our goals.

Agboola: That’s fantastic! No wonder you are now more mature and resourceful. Wait! I saw a billboard of a beautiful art work, with the words PLACY Club on it, along Ibrahim street over there (points to the right side of the road) , are you guys responsible for that?

Bayo: Yes. Some of the students made that under the supervision of an artist. We create many things and even help respective schools to meet their needs.

Agboola showed interest and Bayo asked him to come to their next conference to meet with the Club Team. They walked along the same path and continued to discuss PLACY Club.

TOPIC:  YOUTHS ARE THE FRUITS

  • The world is colorful only if filled with wonderful beings.
  • Nigeria will be great again if the youths are nurtured well.
  • Youths are the fruits;
  • The fruit of the seed you sow.
  • You will reap sweeter fruit, if the seeds are nurtured better.
  • Karma is a reality;
  • It operates according to the divine will.
  • Every cause has an effect;
  • What you sow you shall reap.
  • This we must always remember.
  • What we receive as children is what we receive as youths and adults.
  • We are capable of keeping the world at its best only if we get the best from our care givers.
  • We are leaders of today and tomorrow, because what we must be, reflects from since we saw the light of the world.
  • Productive action yields fruitful life, beautiful life style and successful career.

Translation

The world will be a great place but you need to train your children properly. Give them good advice, create time for them, invest in them, Nigeria is suffering because the leader’s today lack effective nurturance.

Make sure for children are equipped with knowledge and experience to function optimally, socially, mentally, academically and physically.

The advanced countries are ahead because their children are well developed. They get quality education and are given opportunities to exploit their talent and potentials.

Spending time at wedding occasion is pleasant but you need to get your priorities right. Children can change the world for the better, starting from Nigeria but what we seek is your attention, encouraging words, inspirational contents and good behavioral modification system. Teachers are trying, you parent are doing your best, but we need you to focus more on being the better best to raise successful children, help us to form good habits, don’t say bad words on us. We will make you proud soon. But only if you believe in us and nurture us to great standards.

All thanks to PLACY Club team who are willing to support the parents and teachers to help each child to actualize his/her potentials. Experience in PLACY club will help us become better individuals, great leaders and successful youths and adults.

Thank you everyone we wish you happiness, wealth, success and peace in all your endeavors including parenthood.
